Universal Music Group’s Nigerian imprint signee, Alpha P joined forces with Nigerian producer, TMXO to create this unique track titled “Jiggy Bop“.
Jiggy Bop is a rare combination of disco, funk and hip hop sounds that would easily get the party started. According to Alpha P, the process of creating the song was a crazy experience and the different elements of the beat offered to him by TMXO inspired his fusion of African and American culture.
The song is part of the soundtrack of Eddy Murphy’s 2021 movie, Coming 2 America, and is listed as track 6 on the Rhythms of Zamunda (Music Inspired by the Amazon Original Movie: Coming 2 America) album released by Def Jam Recordings on March 5, 2021.
