The author of A Song of Ice and Fire novels, George Martin, will collaborate with Robert Redford to produce the psychological thriller Dark Winds for AMC. This was reported by agency InterMedia.
The western noir series is based on Tony Hillerman‘s Joe Liphorn and Jim Chi series.
The plot is set in the 70s in the Southwest of the United States. Two Navajo Indian police officers are trying to find the killers responsible for several crimes.
The series will include six episodes.
The main roles are played by Kiowa Gordon (“Twilight”) and Zan McClarnon (“Fargo”).
