Princess Okoh professionally known as RnB Princess, is a Lagos-based Indie artist known for her powerful vocals and enthralling style of music and story telling.
Princess is a musician who is as much a storyteller as she is a brilliant singer and performer, with vocals that echo both warmth and a shocking cool through her listeners.
Evident in her name, the genre ‘RnB’ represents her early foundation in music, however is no limiter of her range. With her a distinctively nostalgic sound, her greatest skill perhaps lies in the intentionality behind her music; how her songs are able to portray different characters, and her ability to weave full stories into simple lyrics that can be easily understood and yet leave her listeners wanting more.
Despite re-introducing herself back to the scene as “RnB Princess” in 2021, Princess has been a professional artiste since 2015. She launched the new name with the release of “Be Gone” (featuring Fuga The Pirate) produced by Noiz in April 2021. The song has since gone on to amass over 25,000 streams across digital platforms, wide love and recognition. It has been featured on Editorial playlists and notable platforms, radio stations/shows across cities in Nigeria, Ghana, UK and Canada.
Just a few weeks ago, Princess returned with a solemn classic tagged “Lost” which saw her collaborate with Emk the Genie (featuring Irunmiles).
Refusing to let the ‘RnB’ in her name define her, the RnB Princess brand represents a distinctively versatile and intentional artiste. In June 2020, she was shortlisted as a Top 10 on the Gbedu Female Acts DSCVR category by renowned industry mogul, Osagie Osarenz. Princess has also been an avid performer and collaborator in shows and events in and across Lagos and the United Kingdom – notably Femme Artiste Showcase (2019); Lucid Nights (2019); Gbedu Women in Music (2020); Misterkay at the House (2021) and many more.
