London-based American/Nigerian rapper, Maison2500 begins the year with the release of his sophomore EP, “BUFFCORE”.
“BUFFCORE” is a body of work that induces fans and listeners further into his unconventional style of music. The 11-track genre-defying project is a combination of different sounds, moods and themes which offer Maison2500 ample space to fire off his braggadocious lyrics and rapid-fire alliteration. Throughout the project, Maison2500 holds his own, employing help only from fellow British-Nigerian rapper, Kasien, a feature that greatly benefits and hinders the project, but nonetheless sets a vast tone for where Maison2500 can go lyrically and sonically.
The EP is a profound improvement from his last project, ‘Maseworld’, it affirms Maison’s growth as an artist that stayed consistent with a string of features, singles and teasers whilst refining his sound and sharpening his skills for the effective delivery of the EP.
