Last year, Singer and Songwriter Tomi Owó added another hit to her growing catalogue by creating an original cover of “Through The Never” on ‘The Metallica Blacklist’, a various artists tribute album featuring covers of every track from Metallica’s 1991 self-titled Grammy award-winning album.
As the only Nigerian on the album featuring over 50 artists, Tomi represents by delivering a rockstar performance of Through the Never in the new video below. She looked the part too in a fierce all-black outfit from Reni Smith and styled by Kemi Smallzz. Directed by Badman Tej, the monochromic performance video features producer Oma Mahmud playing an electric guitar as Tomi gives an energetic performance of the song. All profits from this song go to charity – Hope For The Old foundation in Lagos, Nigeria, and Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation.
