On “Viva Lavida”, Joeboy portrays a new side to his craft with thematic expressions ranging from love to existential questions and unrequited stories intertwined with moments of vulnerability. Reassuring his listeners of his growth and matured approach to his artistry, themes of confidence, smug sense of righteousness and braggadocio are absent from this body of work. However, the album is laced with lyrical abilities that propels his unscathed desires.
Released after two celebrated albums, an EP and chart-topping singles in multiple countries, the project signifies a new evolution in his musical journey.
