Following the success of his critically acclaimed studio album, ‘OFA (Oxlade From Africa)’, Oxlade returns with the visuals for his life inspiring, motivational, mind stirring track, titled “Olaitan (Olaoluwa)”.
“Olaitan (Olaoluwa)” is the second track on his debut album, OFA which passes across a message of faith, resilience, self-assurance and sheer tenacity as he pontificates on his journey, struggle and victory.
On the track, he tells a story of endurance and faithfulness by chronicling his struggles and grit, “Many things dey my mind / O many sacrifice / So many mountain wey omo, boy gats to climb / So many candlelights, lights / No fit rest, no fit drink water / This journey’s clear, I dey see proper / Reluctant to the bad omen / Wey dem dey bring come this quarters,” he sings on the introductory part of the song.
Complimenting the song is a music video directed by Pryde visuals. In the opening scene, Oxlade is portrayed as a young boy dedicated to his music, even though he was raised under tumultuous conditions but with elderly guidance, protection and provision. Further depictions portray Oxlade as a successful young man visiting his boyhood home having overcome his earlier challenges and struggle, thus reflecting the ultimate theme of victory!
