MOBO Award-winning singer, songwriter, and genre-bender, Odeal returns with a soul-stirring, border-hopping summer EP dubbed “The Summer That Saved Me“.
Infusing Afrobeats, R&B, soul and a splash of Afro-Latin flavor, the 7 track project sees Odeal at his most raw and liberated moment. From the opener ‘Miami’ with Leon Thomas to the slow-burning closer ‘In The Chair,’ the EP is soaked in self-discovery.
Created between Spain and L.A. and inspired by Odeal finally receiving his British passport, this project is about movement, both physical and emotional. ‘London Summers’ and ‘My Heart’ shine with playful warmth, while ‘Obis Interlude’ delivers a moment of pure vulnerability.
After scrapping two full projects to get it just right, Odeal’s latest body of work is a celebration of starting over and saving yourself in the process.
