Alternative singer, Amaarae releases an eclectic, subversive and unmistakably alluring project dubbed “Black Star”.
“Black Star” is the third studio album by Ghanaian-American singer; it follows her critically acclaimed 2023 record ‘Fountain Baby’ and takes a more playful approach, drawing inspiration from Ghanaian highlife, baile funk and dance music rooted in Black cultural heritage.
Consisting of 13 tracks, the album features supermodel Naomi Campbell, Bree Runway, PinkPantheress and the legendary Gap Band frontman, Charlie Wilson with production from longtime collaborator Kyu Steed, el Guincho and Bnyx.
