NEW MUSIC: Wizkid, Asake, Odumodublvck, Falz, King Promise, Mr Eazi, Champz, Straffitti, Soundz, Mojo AF & More

MMC Nation presents a breakdown of the new music released last week featuring Nigerian superstars like Wizkid, Asake, Falz, Mr Eazi and Odumodublvck, as well as fast rising stars like Straffitti, Champz, Soundz, Mojo AF and Balloranking.

“PONGO” by Rauw Alejandro, Rvssian, and Wizkid

International superstar, Wizkid links up with Rvssian and Rauw Alejandro on a brand new single dubbed “PONGO”. The single blends Afrobeats, dancehall, and Latin sounds to deliver a cross-continental afro-latino collaboration with the artistes extending their reach and musical influence into new territories. This collaboration is an energetic sound built for global playlists and party rotations.

“WORSHIP” by Asake and DJ Snake

Global star, Asake collaborates with DJ Snake on a new offering dubbed “Worship”. The new offering is a creative expression of gratitude, faith, perseverance, thanksgiving and worship. Asake places emphasis on trusting the process by relying on consistent action, not luck, as a catalyst for success.

“OFE NSALA” by ODUMODUBLVCK and Straffitti 

Fast rising Alte artiste, Straffitti features rapper, Odumodublvck on this new single, “Ofe Nsala”. The single is a vibrant, high-energy track focused on badman aura, confidence and lifestyle with lyrics highlighting the celebrity nightlife glamour to express existing physical attraction / chemistry between the artistes and women who are drawn to their vibe.

“OMOGE” by Falz

High Class rapper, Falz the bahdguy returns with the release of a new track, “Omoge”. This track is a special one as it pays tribute to the female folk in this international women’s day month. Falz keeps the track African and original as he samples Afro-juju crooner, Sir Shina Peters. This is definitely one for the books.

“MARIANA” by King Promise and Mr Eazi 

Ghanaian star, King Promise taps Mr Eazi for a new romantic number dubbed “Mariana”. The song is a resonant emotional love rendition that finds both artistes express deep feelings and commitment with promises to love selflessly, unconditionally, and weather the storm through ups and downs in the union with their muse, Mariana.

“BAD GUYZ” by Champz

Afrobeats royalty, Champz released a new EP, ‘Young Poet’ last week and one of the stand out tracks on the EP is “Bad Guyz”. The youngin continues his impressive run since the release of his debut project, ‘Champion’s Arrival’.

“OMOGE” by Soundz

Afro fusion artiste, Soundz unveils a romantic new single dubbed “Omoge”. On the single, Soundz serenades his love interest as he sings: “girl you’re the apple of my eye, you know i love you die / few tingle in my belle, oh na your butterfly, oh and i see you the way you fine / you dey ginger me walahi, me i pack your matter for my head, i can never leave your side”. The track is filled with rizz and charm as Soundz bring youthful vigour to pay tribute to a love interest.

“MISTER MAN” by AYLØ and Mojo AF

Alte crooner, AYLØ released a two-part pack last week dubbed ‘Cold’, one of the stand out tracks on the release is “Mister Man” featuring rap jesu, Mojo AF. On “Mister Man”, the orisa himself, Mojo AF spazzed as he addressed industry opps and listed his street credentials and capabilities that keeps him ahead of the game. Mojo did this on two seperate verses while AYLØ sang the hook as both artistes performed on the mid tempo beat.

“MELANIN” by Balloranking and Oxlade

Singer and songwriter, Balloranking features Oxlade on a new single dubbed “Melanin”. The new single is an ode to the African woman with both artistes showing appreciation of the richness of the darker skin tones. On the track, Balloranking delivered a sweet rendition of the hook and his verse while Oxlade entered his verse with his signature melodious voice in a smooth and effortless manner. The chemistry and harmony on the track is insane, enough to make the girls go wild.
