French Music Platform, Deezer has just unveiled a free AI Music Detector online. It scans playlists across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and 17 other platforms, in 27 languages — TechCrunch and The Verge reported.
Per Deezer and TechCrunch, the company flags 75,000 AI-generated tracks uploaded daily. In 2025, AI songs made up 44% of all new uploads to Deezer.
Deezer says its detection accuracy is over 99% and estimates up to 85% of AI streams are fraudulent, per its newsroom and comments cited by TechCrunch and Gearnews.
“No other company has followed our lead yet, so we decided to make it possible for everyone to check if their playlists include synthetic music,” CEO Alexis Lanternier told The Verge and TechCrunch.
