UK Based Nigerian singer-songwriter, Darkoo teams up with Global Afrobeats star, Asake for new single, “THAT GIRL!”.
“THAT GIRL!” is a single built on the same chord progression and beat pattern that made the Diwali riddim a global smash with versions by everyone from Brick & Lace to Sean Paul, Bounty Killer to Anthony B. More than 20 years after, Darkoo‘s version is a bridge between both worlds – that era and the present moment. Assisted by Asake‘s magnificent style and pattern, the new single is a smooth Afrobeats rendition that celebrates attraction, romantic pursuit, and genuine desire toward a signifcant other who stands out from everyone else.
Directed by Nouvelle films, the single is accompanied by an eye-popping 2 minutes, 12 seconds crisp visual that brings out the girlies in shopping scenes, limousine partying scenes and mansion chilling scenes, with the two showcasing their bond and synergy with several upclose shots.
