Jameszn001 Releases His Debut Project, “Ladey Lee (LP)”

Alternative Rap Artiste, Jameszn001 unveils his 9-track debut LP, “Ladey Lee” to announce his artistry and entrance into the music industry.

The new project is a manifestation of his alter ego, “Ladey Lee”. Jameszn opens up the LP with “Ala”, a track about his dreams and aspirations as he shares his vision of becoming a celebrity. On “Bad Mind”, he addresses the distractions that arise when one is focused on securing the bag, as he sings: “focus on the money but they bad mind o / Bad mind o na their bad mind o / Plenty man getty bad mind o / Bad mind o na their bad mind o”.

The next track, “Feem” which is perhaps the project’s spotlight single, being the only collaborative effort, finds Jameszn and Mojo AF trading bars as they spit self-conceited lyrics about industry standing, women and celebrity lifestyle.

The fourth track, “Man Down” goes personal, addressing opps and their antics, whilst ensuring to leave a note of warning that he will triumph no matter the odds. On, the fifth track, “Happiness”, Jameszn goes spiritual, addressing economic difficulties faced by Nigerian youth as he shares few words of upliftment with emphasis on prayer.

The sixth track, “Belinda” is an ode to a love interest whom he serenades with a sweet rendition of his romantic feelings before the LP switches to “Hippie Hippie”, a self-adulatory song that sees Jameszn exude bad boy aura and confidence as he details his street credentials with wit and precision.

The penultimate track, “Shima” sees Jameszn in his ashawo element as he expresses masculine thoughts about seeking transactional relationships and chasing dopamine fulfillment in the opposite sex.

The closing track “Gallivanting” is a clever reverse play on the sugar daddy phenomenon with a scripted sugar boy role that pays tribute to affluent women, whom he intimates of his desire to “chop their money”, out of necessity, to secure his future.

Produced by Perlz and Ronehi, the LP is an impressive rendition rooted in stylistic duality of rap and afro pop which results in an afro fusion projection of sound and rhythm. What stands out is Jameszn’s commitment to the world-building of the LP. It is not just sung; it is performed with feelings and fervor that invites fans and listeners into his immersive world.

The project is more than just a debut – it’s a statement of intent from a talented artist who’s ready to make his mark.
