Afrobeats star, Shoday has released a brand new single, “MOVE”, along with its accompanying self-directed visual.
“MOVE” is an infectious, energetic, upbeat single centred around themes of movement, confidence, and self expression. Layered over an atmospheric production, the song maintains a clean and relatable approach that captivates the listener’s attention.
The accompanying visual was directed by Shoday alongsideĀ Seyifunmi Makinde, with the visual drawing direct structural inspiration from Childish Gambino’s iconic 2018 music video forĀ ‘This Is America’ and as expected, the video has generated alot of reactions on social media particularly the Black-American community who criticised the video for lack of originality with some making humorous remarks like “This is Not America” or “This is Ame’frica” and the likes.
