“U Belong 2 Me” is a Y2K era inspired R&B record that invokes feelings of nostalgia in the listener. On the new single, TKYØ opens up with seductive lyrics aimed at wooing a love interest, before taking the hook of the emotionally rooted song, Fimi then enters with her unmistakable flow reciprocating, and complementing the sonic direction of the record.
The record is full of chemistry, relatable lyricism, energetic production and rhythms influenced by the early 2000s era of African-American Hip-Hop and R&B.
