Nigerian artist and producer, TopWAV goes conscious on his latest offering, “THEIR FATHER” – a single commiserating Nigeria’s independence.
“THEIR FATHER” serves as a conscious critique of Nigeria’s socio-political landscape. It directly addresses the country’s ongoing hardships—such as economic struggles, bad governance, and resource exploitation—while questioning the accountability of those in power.
The accompanying visual elements draw heavily on imagery of Nigeria’s founding fathers and a fractured map, concluding with a poignant, open-ended question: “Which way?”
