Kenyan artists, Bensoul and Ywaya Tajiri collaborate on a brand new smooth, conversational single, “Mariwana”.
“Mariwana” is a sensual, slow-burning Afro-fusion song that opens with an intimate, understated acoustic guitar before building into a bass-heavy groove driven by electronic drums and percussion. Both artists move seamlessly between English and Swahili, delivering a smooth, conversational melody.
Although the song functions as a sensual groove, cannabis has been a recurring muse for Bensoul, who previously dedicated his 2023 debut album ‘Lion of Sudah’ to the advocacy and legalization of marijuana in Kenya.
