Prolific Ghanaian rapper, Yaw Tog has released a brand new Afro-drill rap single, titled “AKATAPIANO”.
“AKATAPIANO” is a bold musical pivot for the Kumerican drill star, introducing a new hybrid sound that blends elements of Amapiano with his signature street-style and Ghanaian rap drill. The track was produced by sectormadeit, delivering a heavy log-drum foundation layered with hard-hitting bars and rap tempos.
Released alongside the audio stream, is a Pamir Shakir-directed music video that mirrors the high energy of the track itself. Instead of a typical street video, it leans heavily into a sleek, premium aesthetic. The video features dramatic urban backdrops, notably showcasing Yaw Tog performing from high-rise building rooftops with a massive city skyline behind him. This was done with intentionality to match the song’s themes of leveling up, dreaming big, and chasing an expensive lifestyle.
