American gospel legend, Kirk Franklin and Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido collaborate on an uplifting new single, “Hope in You”.
“Hope in You” is a beautiful song that bridges contemporary gospel arrangements with African rhythms, delivering a powerful message of resilience, faith, and vulnerability. The roots of this unexpected duet trace back to 2022 when a viral video surfaced of Kirk Franklin vibing to Davido‘s single ‘Stand Strong’.
The new collaboration is part of Kirk Franklin’s 14-track project, ‘I Am What I Am’, which splits between seven live traditional choir recordings and seven boundary-pushing studio tracks. The album also features artists like GloRilla, Jelly Roll, and Tobe Nwigwe.
