Fast-rising Nigerian afro fusion artist Dimi Keye has released his debut EP, “Afrocentric“. The EP was released alongside the video for his previously released single, ‘Palay‘ featuring Mystro.
“Afrocentric” is an introduction to the world of Dimi Keye, a young eccentric African with tales of his journey focusing on relationships, love and good vibes. With a mixture of mellow and upbeat productions, Dimi Keye delivers a narrative appreciating his existence as an African by touching up select sounds and crystal resonance.
Speaking on his debut project, Afrocentric and the inspiration behind it, Dimi Keye said the project consists of five tracks with features from Mystro and Blaqbonez. “On this project, I just wanted to show my range and talk about my experience as a young African, dishing out stories of love and good vibes. It includes mellow, mid-tempo, and upbeat sounds. As an eccentric African, this EP projects my style and range. Afrocentric is set to blow your mind, give you nothing but positive vibes because that is me; I am all positive vibes and energy,” he stated.
The silky smooth vocals, instrumentals and unique writing style employed on the “Afrocentric” EP is a testament to the fact that Dimi is ready to grow and expand his horizon beyond the shores of Africa.
