Upcoming rapper and lyrical word smith, Joules Da kid teams up with Chocolate City signee Major AJ to deliver his first single of 2025, dubbed “Fake Love”.
“Fake Love” is a satirical offering that touches upon the lack of support that comes with the pursuit of career attainment, and accumulation of material gains, a challenge often faced by artistes and young creatives within the industry space.
Opening the track, Major AJ explores the theme of the song, as he illustrates the hypocrisy and later day familiarity experienced when the desired goal is finally attained, as he sings: “current situation na boys to men / all of the juniors them don turn to gent / so when i pull up in the brand new benz / no dey address me like you used to then / i worked up, me i got more confidence / i switched economy to private jet / so no dey act like you’re John Dumelo / when you know really that i’m not your friend / why your fake love ? hmmm why your fake love ? / brother pick a side, no dey sit on the fence!”
Towing the path of AJ, Joules compliments the hook with further braggadocio, feel good, now-i’ve-made-it lyrics as he dismissed opps and acknowledged the advances received from female fans and admirers with self satisfied lyrics about his triumphant victory over never-do-good naysayers!
