Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter, Odumodublvck releases the video for “Pity This Boy”, a sonorous mid tempo song featuring talented singer, Victony.
On the new single, Odumodublvck dribbles lyrics touching upon the constant demands that come with fame and stardom while appealing for some understanding as he sings: “They for like pity this boy (pity this boy) / Everyday na billing, with their shameful decoy (shameful decoy, oh decoy) / I for don turn visitor (turn visitor), overstay my welcome / But I for chop full insult (shege), chop full insult (bastard)”.
Victony also compliments the thematic expression of the song as he recognises the billing that comes with the star life whilst crooning lyrics that evidence his capacity to match the demands as he sings: “If e nor dey Gucci, na Prada / Say Shelly (Seychelles), Addis Ababa / Solomon Gundy, with the fast life o / It’s plenty, She call me Santa / Ehn-ehn, exclusive, Bahamas / Balling and balling o, Mo Mamba / No be choice o, no be data / Baby, calculate our numbers”.
Directed by Granville Wilson, the crisp visuals depict both artistes in several scenes ranging from psycho analysis sessions, living room moments, medical laboratory evaluations and ware house moments in cow boy attires.
