Meet Football’s latest discovery, Barcelona’s illustorious La Masia academy talent, Destiny Kosiso likened to great academy exports like Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta and, more recently, Lamine Yamal.
The 11 years old wonder kid is fast becoming one of La Masia’s deadliest attacker and is widely seen as a youngster who could tow the path of Lamine Yamal at Barcelona. Born in 2014 to parents of Nigerian descent, Destiny’s impressive performance has captivated the mind of local and international media.
Popular Barcelona fan page Barca Times with over a million followers on X reported sometime last year that Destiny has scored an astonishing 145 goals in just 52 appearances in 7v7 youth matches. This includes 100 incredible goals in 27 appearances for Barcelona’s Under-10 side in 2023-24, and an unbelievable 20 in the elite Iscar Cup tournament alone. This strike rate has led to comparisons with rival talisman, Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid.
Destiny Kosiso is known for his positional intelligence, clinical finishing, breathtaking consistency and inside-the-box composure which has earned him praises from academy coaches, pundits and football media with comparisons to early profiles of La Masia graduates who went on to reach the very top.
