Emerging Nigerian music artist and recording act, Uncle Baby teams up with Hamydgrey, Perlz and Tiimie for an alternative, contemporary, Afrobeats single dubbed “Saliba”.
“Saliba” is low-tempo song heavily influenced by the viral Lekompo/Afro-house trends. The song’s title playfully references the elite French and Arsenal FC football defender, William Saliba whilst the song’s central theme is a yearning for a love that guards each others heart.
Produced by Perlz, the song is a romantic number that finds the singers performing emotional lyrics about their longing for a love so genuine that it considers and protects their feelings and emotions. The collaboration is a showcase of the talent and ingenuity that exists across the modern alt-Afrobeats and indie-fusion space in the Nigerian underground music scene.
